The racerwalker from Llerena beat Luis Alberto Amezcua and Miguel Ángel López, achieving a qualifying standard for the August World Championship in London.

Álvaro Martín Uriol has reaffirmed his title of Spanish Champion in the general 20-kilometre category this Sunday, completing a circuit running through Avenida Juan Carlos I in Merida with a time of 1:21:11; beating Luis Alberto Amezcua, from Granada, by seven seconds and Miguel Ángel López -World and European Champion for the same distance- by one minute and eight seconds.
