This free exhibition, in the CajaCanarias gallery in Las Palmas until 17 June, brings together works from the Madrazo collection, donated in 2006 to the Community of Madrid by the descendants of this family of artists.

From domestic scenes to royal portraits, "El mundo de los Madrazo" (The world of the Madrazos) opens today in Tenerife, showcasing the art of five painters from the most influential family of artists in 19th-century Spain.
The show is completed with eight pictures taken by Juan Manuel Castro, winner of the 2015 National Prize for Photography, in the home of Juan José Daza, the last of the lineage.
