Cienfuegos seeks a metal and the European hammer throw record in Las Palmas
The athlete from Montijo has dominated the hammer throw in Spain for eight years.

Javier Cienfuegos forms part of the Spanish team that will dispute the European Championship for the hammer throw in Las Palmas this weekend. Cienfuegos achieved the third best world score for the year on Saturday with a throw of 76,63 metres in the winter Spain Championship in his native village.
Pedro Martín and Miguel Alberto Blanco, from Barcelona, will also be going to the European Championship, having thrown 70 metres in the Spain Championship in Montijo.
