Search for Manuela Chavero resumed in the Tentudía reservoir (Badajoz)

The Special Group of Subaqueous Activities of the Civil Guard has been examining the reservoir since Monday. The search is expected to continue until Wednesday, using a specialised robot that can be submerged 30 metres to the bottom of the dam. They hope to find indications that could suggest evidence as to the whereabouts of the resident of Monesterio (Badajoz), who disappeared more than 7 months ago.

Manuela Chavero's sister, Emilia Chavero, has shown interest in the resumed works of the Civil Guard diving specialists, who, this time, are using a robot to aid their search. The works aim to rule the area out as a possible scene where the body could have been dumped or to find evidence that would clarify the case.

The visibility beside the reservoir's wall of concrete has been reduced and the specialists are delimiting the whole area with squares, using cords submerged from the surface to the bottom, so that the robot can examine the spaces and search for small objects or a body.
