Carlos, King Emperor wins 4 Awards from the Association of Latin Entertainment Critics of New York

RTVE’s series Carlos, King Emperor has been selected as Best Cultural Show of the Year at the 48th edition of the Association of Latin Entertainment Critics (ACE) Awards of New York, which will be presented on March 29. In addition, the fiction produced in collaboration with Diagonal TV won the award for Best Director, Oriol Ferrer, which will be shared by producers Jaume Banacolocha, Joan Bas, Montserrat Garcia and Nicolás Romero, from RTVE, and Best Supporting Actors for Nathalie Poza, in her role as Germaine of Foix, and Juanjo Puigcorbé as Gattinara, Carlos advisor.

Carlos, King Emperor is a historical fiction series based on the life of Carlos V, grandson of the Catholic Monarchs. It is a production directed by Oriol Ferrer and written by José Luis Martin, starring Blanca Suárez and Álvaro Cervantes.

Once again this year, an RTVE historical fiction has been recognized outside Spain, in this case at the prestigious ACE (Association of Latin Entertainment Critics) Awards. In 2015, the series Isabel also received four awards, including Best Cultural Show, Best Director and awards for actresses Michelle Jenner and Irene Escolar; in 2013 it also won Best Cultural Show, Best Leading Actress and Best Supporting Actor for Pablo Derqui.
