La Rioja, at the end of the 60s. The Cortázar and Reverte wineries are allies and struggling to make it in an environment ruled by the firm hand of an unscrupulous third company, Miranda Wineries. The patriarch of the Miranda family, Santiago, is an ambitious overlord who won't stop at anything, or for anybody.

But as if the rivalry that pits the Cortázars against the Mirandas were not enough, something is going to make things worse. Elena, Alejandro Cortázar's daughter, and Luis, Santiago Miranda's son, fall madly in love. 

They know that neither of their families will accept the relationship and they have only one option: to run away together. But the Cortázars find out about Elena's intentions and decide to send her away from Luis and from Lasiesta, breaking young Miranda´s heart. 

Two years after leaving, Elena returns for her brother Vicente's wedding. It is time to clear things up and make up for the past, although it won't be as easy as she thinks.
