A fiction series that shows us the life of the rich and bourgeois Márquez family, who have returned from Latin America after making their fortune with iron ore mines and tobacco factories. Through the family’s trials and tribulations, we get an idea of the traditions of Spanish society in the 1920s.

Victoria and Ángel are the main characters in this series: two youngsters from different social classes in a provincial city in the north of Spain who are in love, but who will be drawn in different directions by the circumstances of their lives.

Victoria will come to understand, through personal first-hand experience, the extreme social differences that have been suffocating the country for years. She will realise what is happening and fulfil an important role in the context of the upheaval of the 1920s.

Having experienced these things and become a different person, fate brings her together with Ángel again, who after his experience in the missions- has now become a converted priest. Despite the taboos and conditions of the era, against all odds and all expectations, love will blossom again.
