La televisión chipriota CyBC ofreció al grupo de rock Minus One ser su abanderado en el Festival de Eurovisión 2016. Los miembros del grupo, Francois Micheletto, Constantinos Amerikanos, Harrys Pari, Antonis Loizides y Chris J., aterrizan en Estocolmo con "Alter ego", un tema que bien representa su estilo musical, muy influenciado por el pop y los clásicos del rock. El tema lo han compuesto en colaboración con uno de los grandes del Festival de Eurovisión, Thomas G:son, autor de "Quédate conmigo" o "Euphoria". La banda ya intentó participar en Eurovisión 2015, cuando quedaron terceros en la gala de selección chipriota con la canción "Shine".
