Spanish composer Salvador Bacarisse

In today's program we play the Concertino in A minor, op. 72 by Salvador Bacarisse, performed by guitarist Narciso Yepes and the RTVE Symphony Orchestra. Bacarisse was born and studied in Madrid; a committed anti-fascist, he fled Spain at the end of the Civil War and spent the rest of his life in exile in France. There, after great hardships, he finally got a job: working at the Spanish language broadcast of the French national radio's world service.
