It's not new, but it is long-lasting and it continues. Corruption in public administrations has plagued Spain and put once loyal voters off both the Popular Party and the Socialists, as new parties arise promising to end the scourge. This month new cases of graft have come to light, old cases are going to trial and Transparency International singles Spain out for "nepotism" and "an almost endless number of corruption scandals."
