Hace 40 años, en abril de 1983, se lanzaba uno de los debuts más influyentes y cautivadores del rock’n’roll. A pesar de su escaso éxito comercial el primer álbum de Violent Femmes convirtió al trío de Milwaukee en una de las bandas más importantes de aquel rock alternativo que emergió desde las universidades norteamericanas. Recordamos en este episodio los primeros trabajos de Gordon Gano, Brian Ritchie y Victor DeLorenzo, con su evolución desde el folk acústico de actitud punk rocker hacia el country y la música de raíces o hacia su sonido más mainstream y producido.
