En 1976 Duncan Reid tenía 17 años y entró como bajista en una banda que se estaba gestando en el agitado Londres del momento. Aunque The Boys no disfrutaron las grandes mieles del éxito fueron pioneros de la escena del punk rock y muchas de sus canciones permanecen entre lo mejor de aquella época. Desde 2010 lidera la banda Duncan Reid and the Big Heads con los que viene de gira a España haciendo escala en nuestro Sótano.
