Ayer falleció Al Jarreau a los 76 años. El cantante de jazz, el scatman, que se convirtió en estrella del pop, supo asimilar las corrientes y fusión de estilos - con especial atención a los géneros brasileños y adaptarlos a su voz única, virtuosa, juguetona, y su instinto y talento tan extraordinarios. Hizo versiones de piezas maestras de Paul Desmond - “Take Five”, Elton John - “Your Song” -, James Taylor - “Fire And Rain” -, Bill Withers - un disco entero - o de Chick Corea - “Spain”- y las hizo enteramente suyas. Sus canciones quedarán y seguirán alegrándonos la vida.
