Demonstrators from the 15M movement gather in the Puerta del Sol square during a protest through central Madrid August 5, 2011. The youth protest movement, which started on May 15 ahead of municipal elections with the spontaneous occupation of city centres across Spain, has defied the authorities and lasted long after the polls on May 22. The demonstrations sparked a wave of protests across Europe against political leaders' handling of a crisis which has left many young people without opportunities and facing an uncertain future. Spain has the highest jobless level in the European Union, at 21 percent. Unemployment is even higher in the 18-25 age range, at 45 percent, and the few people with jobs are uncertain of their futures. REUTERS/Sergio Perez (SPAIN - Tags: CIVIL UNREST BUSINESS POLITICS)
