El féretro fue sacado por miembros de la caballería vestidos de husares al patio militar, donde recibió honores con más de mil cadetes formados antes de comenzar un recorrido por la ciudad hasta el Cuartel de la Montaña, donde permanecerán los restos del gobernante hasta encontrar sepultura definitiva.
