The Stranglers y el Louisville de los años 60

Dave Greenfield, de los Stranglers, falleció el pasado domingo a los 71 años por complicaciones causadas tras dar positivo en Covid 19. Los teclados de Greenfield eran una de las grandes señas de identidad de estos inclasificables pioneros del punk británico. Tras un pequeño homenaje a los Estranguladors de Guildford nos zambullimos de lleno en un reciente lanzamiento del sello Out-Sider, filial de Guerssen Records, sello de Lleida especializado en reediciones de arqueología musical de los años 60 y 70. En el disco “Louisville in the 60’s; the lost Allen-Martin tapes” se recoge material inédito y oscuras rarezas plasmadas en unos estudios de esta ciudad de Kentucky, por los que pasaron numerosos grupos de la zona.
