Justin Coe welcomes back to our studios Spanish bluesman Deferre, who lives in Belgium but has returned to Spain this weekend for a concert at the Fundación Juan March, one of the Spanish capital's leading cultural foundations. The Juan March Foundation traditionally sponsors concerts and recitals of classical music, but its concert series The Worlds of the Guitar has opened the door to the blues. Deferre, the first bluesman to perform at the Juan March Foundation, talks about the blues and his relationship with the music, and he also takes out his dobro guitars to play both his own compositions and a classic blues by Son House.
