Reino Unido ha apostado este año por el formato You Decide para escoger a su candidata para Eurovisión 2017: y la elegida ha sido Lucie Jones, que llega a Kiev con una canción titulada "Never Give up on you" y compuesta por Emmelie de Forest, ganadora de Eurovisión 2013.

Lucie tiene 25 años y es de Pentyrch, un pequeño pueblo de Cardiff (Gales). Se dio a conocer en la sexta edición del X Factor británico, y tras ello interpretó el personaje de Cosette en el musical de Los Miserables en el West End londinense.
