"Un proyecto que reivindica la sensibilidad" (Tomás Fernando Flores)

La maqueta que Leonor Waitling y el pianista Alejandro Pelayo grabaron en 1998 fue en germen del álbum debut de Marlango (Marlango, 2002) ya con el trompetista Óscar Ybarra en el proyecto. La sorpresa fue el éxito inmediato (50.000 copias vendidas)

El tema que abría el disco, Madness, participaba de ese estilo a mitad de camino entre el jazz, rock, música de cabaret  y que tanto le debe a Tom Waits. Es "como una heroína de cine negro flirteando en mi cabeza" dice Leonor del tema que cuenta con la guitarra solista de Pablo Novoa.
