Bodies were still being removed from the Kiss nightclub in the southern city of Santa Maria, Major Gerson da Rosa Ferreira, who was leading rescue efforts at the scene for the military police, told Reuters. Local officials said 180 people were confirmed dead, and Ferreira said the death toll would rise above 200. SANTA MARIA (BRASIL), 27/01/2013.- Los bomberos trabajan en las inmediaciones de la discoteca Kiss, en la ciudad brasileña de Santa María, en el estado de Río Grande do Sul, a 286 kilómetros de Porto Alegre, la capital regional, donde la pasada madrugada se declaró un incendio en el que al menos 180 personas murieron. El fuego, que se inició poco después de las dos de la madrugada, podría haber comenzado por una luz de bengala encendida durante la presentación de una banda que era la atracción de la noche en la discoteca.
