    Michael Jackson announces at a press conference in Detroit, July 7, that they will build a $1 billion dollar entertainment/casino complex in Detroit to be called Majestic Kingdom. The project will be built on 75 acres of land on the Detroit River and will include the "Michael Jackson Thriller Theme Park." The Jackson-Barden Detroit project is contingent upon Barden recieving one of three casino licences designated for Detroit.
