Tariq Ali on The Extreme Centre (I of II)

Writer, film-maker and leftist political analyst, Tariq Ali was in Madrid to present the Spanish translation of his latest book, The Extreme Centre: A Warning, published by Alianza.  Author of more than a dozen books on world history and politics, as well as seven novels, Tariq Ali is editor of the journal New Left Review in London. He spoke last week to a packed hall in Madrid's La Central bookshop. He also talked with me at another Madrid bookstore, Traficantes de Sueños.  Today's is the first of two programs featuring this acute observer and analyst of global politics.
