Turkey calls a meeting of the military chiefs of staff of the United States and Russia to coordinate their offensives in Syria and Iraq.  US and Russian support for the Kurdish YPG against ISIS is a cause for consternation by the Turkish government and forces which identify the Kurds as "terrorists".  In the Korean peninsula, the US deploys its anti-missile system in response to Pyongyang's continued test launches; China and Russia call for restraint.
