Leonardo Martins Días and Eduardo Zaldívar have both been in Brazil recently, and they talk about the signs of unrest they saw there among people angry over the massive amount of public funds being spent on hosting the 2014 World Cup Soccer Championship in a country where there is so much poverty.  This sentiment was perhaps best expressed by Brazilian artist Paulo Ito in his street painting of a hungry child crying at a table where on the dish in front of him instead of food, there is a soccer ball.  But Leonardo and Eduardo are more interested in improving social conditions than in watching football, and they talk about about the innovative projects they have launched or been involved with that are aimed at helping empower people in Brazil's favelas, or shanty towns.  For more information, visit Leo's attractive website at: www.leonardomartinsdias.com (12/06/14).
