Outside of the English-speaking world the Grammy-nominated American jazz singer Stacey Kent ( www.staceykent.com ) has a huge following in France, where she has even been awarded the French government's National Order of Arts and Letters in recognition of her contribution to the arts. But Stacey Kent also has a growing fan-base in Spain, where she has performed many times over the past decade or so. Justin Coe caught up with her after a recent performance in Madrid, where she appeared at the National Auditorium's chamber music hall with the Quatuor Ebène string quartet, saxophonist Jim Tomlinson (Stacey's husband) and drummer Richard Héry. In an impromtu encounter Stacey Kent comments on several of the songs included on her 2013 album "The Changing Lights" (01/07/14).
