We hear the brief speech by one of the younger speakers at the United Nations Climate Change Conference which has just ended in Katowice, Poland. At the conference, held from December 2nd to the 14th, world leaders met to negotiate solutions to the developing and increasingly self-evident climate crisis. And 15-year old climate activist Greta Thunberg of Sweden, who has led school strikes in her country since September to demand that politicians act to stop global warming, said world leaders were ignoring the problem and "behaving like children." Then we hear the last movement of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony from the live performance in Madrid last week at a special concert given by the RTVE Orchestra and Chorus to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Spanish Constitution. The document was ratified by Spanish voters in a referendum on December 6, 1978.
