"Al alba": Last Executions under Franco 1975

On September 27, 1975 five men convicted of terrorism were executed under orders by the Franco dictatorhip.  The executions sparked protests around Europe and eleven countries recalled their ambassadors from Madrid.  Mexico proposed Spain be expelled from the UN and Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme, denouncing the executions, collected funds for the families.  Writer and journalist Robbert Bosschart has reported from Spain as correspondent for the Dutch radio and television broadcaster NOS since the 1960's.   Joining us in the studio, Robbert Bosschart explained the background for the heightened violence from the regime in those years.
