English language broadcast - 08/01/15

 Today's program features a report on the US base in Morón de la Frontera, near Seville, which played an important role in the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq in 2001 and 2003. Before that, in 1966, a B-52 bomber from the base had been involved in an accident which resulted in the radioactive contamination of an area near Palomares, in Almeria.  Now, the United States is asking Spain to allow Morón become a permanent base for its special operations in Africa and the Middle East.  But first, we present a review of some of the events of the week, including the celebrations of the Epiphany or "Reyes," as well as the latest figures on employment and the economy in Spain.
