The water restrictions will continue in several neighbourhoods in the upper area of La Orotava until the analyses have been confirmed.

The water can be used for the hygiene purposes but not for consumption, until the analyses confirm that is drinkable. The city council expect that it will be reestablished on Monday.
The restriction has affected 12,000 residents of several neighbourhoods in the upper area of La Orotava. The tap water came out cloudy and with a bad smell due to a breakdown in the European transport network.
While the problem persists, the 12,000 affected residents are being supplied with municipal water.
