The commitment signed on Wednesday in Dubai represents the purchase by the Indigo group of 273 A-320 NEO and 157 A-321 NEO aircraft, of the same family, which are unique passenger aircraft able of covering transatlantic distances. 430 aircraft for 42 billion euros, in the largest order in history in the aeronautical sector trade.

The contract involves the two Airbus factories in the area of Cadiz: The Puerto de Santa María manufactures the fan cowls and coatings for the engines of both models and the Puerto Real factory the altitude rudder. The order guarantees at least one more year of work for both factories. The Indigo group operates four airlines from the United States, Chile, Mexico and Hungary, to whose fleets the aircraft will be incorporated.
