Betis crushes Écija in front of 12,000 spectators
Betis thrashed Écija Balompié by a 4-0 scoreline in front of a crowd of 12,000 fans who gathered at the Benito Villamarín stadium. The match helped to prep the team for next Monday's duel against Eibar.
Betis clearly outplayed Écija in yesterday¿s match at the Benito Villamarín stadium. It was a friendly, but even still, the green-and-white supporters weren't about to miss it. Over 12,000 supporters packed the stands, and it would seem that Quique Setién¿s team is planting hope in Betis supporters in this start of the season.
Taking advantage of the fact that Betis won¿t be playing until next Monday¿s match against Eibar, the green-and-white coach gave minutes to players such as Tello, Camarasa and Boudebouz, who need to pick up the pace. Durmisi returned to the starting line-up following his injury. Before half-time, Betis was already winning by 2-0 thanks to the goals scored by Narváez and Sergio León.
Another opportunity arose for the Cordoba-born striker, however it hit the post and the player was substituted. The second half saw several reserve team players come onto the field, nevertheless they did not lower their game, and thanks to Joaquín and Hinojosa, with an impressive shot from the front, the team ended the match with the scoreline at 4-0.
