Sevilla Atlético the only team to claim a victory in Segunda División

Matchweek 14 of the Spanish Second Division sees just one win, claimed by Sevilla Atlético in their away match against Granada, causing Granada to lose the leading position after their first home defeat. Cordoba now sits rock bottom of the table, alongside Almería, who also lost.

Granada was handed a dose of humility by bottom team Sevilla Atlético. When José Luis Oltra¿s players least expected a defeat, they were dealt a heavy blow, which was Granada¿s first home defeat of the season. The Sevillian team scored a goal when first arriving in the opposition's penalty area, in a penalty imposed on Chico Flores and awarded to Curro, putting the team up by 0-1 on the scoreboard with a penalty kicked from eleven metres.

Granada upped their game. Half an hour later, Víctor Díaz fired a shot against the post, and Joselu evened the scoreboard at the start of the second half. However, Tevenet¿s team played a better game, and Fede San Emeterio proved so when upping the score to 1-2. In addition to the defeat, as a result of his expulsion, Granada has lost Montoro for their upcoming match against Cultural Leonesa.

Sevilla Atlético abandons the tail end of the table, a position currently held by Cordoba, who lost 0-1 in their home match against Osasuna, with a goal from Xisco Jiménez.

Another Andalusian team in the drop zone is Almería, who also lost 2-0 in Albacete. This was the team¿s fourth consecutive loss, costing Luis Miguel Ramis his position as coach. Fran Fernández is taking charge of the team on a temporary basis.
