Málaga defeated once again despite improvement
Málaga failed to catch Villarreal by surprise. Míchel's players managed to hold off the numerous goal attempts from the Castellón team for 68 minutes. Sansone scored two goals in the second half, sweeping away any hopes the blue and whites might have had.

Málaga has not been able to score points in any of its five away games, nor to score any goals in his favour. The team proved strong against Villarreal by focusing on the defensive end, however Sansone took control of the match by firing two goals past goalie Roberto. Following this last defeat, Míchel¿s team is once again rock bottom of the table with just 4 points out of 33 games. La Liga now takes a break, after which the team is set to host Deportivo de La Coruña at La Rosaleda.
