Real Betis loses to Espanyol by a single goal
The worst Betis of the season made an appearance at the Cornellà stadium. The green-and-white club lost 1-0 against Espanyol de Barcelona. Betis was incapable of outdoing the Periquitos.

Gerard scored the only goal of the match in the second half and in an offside position. Sergio León could have snatched a 1-1 draw in the 87th minute, however local goalkeeper Pau made an impressive save. Betis now sits in eighth place on the table and Friday the team will be hosting Getafe at Villamarín.
