"La Raíz Eléctrica", Raúl Rodríguez's second album

Raúl Rodríguez was in our studios to introduce ¿La Raíz Eléctrica¿ (The Electric Root), his second music album. A record-book in which he upholds the value of music as a space for meeting and conviviality, and for which his recent time spent in Haiti alongside Jackson Browne played a determining role¿

A pursuer and at the same time a fugitive: a stranger to himself. A musician beyond borders. This is how he defines himself¿ Always on the pursuit of the unknown, of a song yet to be sung¿ A seeker of sounds and reasons that refuses to give in to the passing of time. ¿I am searching for the reasons of sounds, I am searching for the motives behind songs, I am searching for the foundation of our intertwined history¿

According to Raúl, he grew up surrounded by people without fear... Influenced by the likes of VenenoPata NegraMartirio (his mother), and Smash, a psychedelic rock band formed in Seville in the 70¿s... And the then-soon-to-be musical legends Morón and Diego del Gastor. Or as he is now by Haiti, where he ended up alongside Jackson Browne¿ Convinced, ¿verse for verse¿, that the lyrics would fit perfectly with dance, he has now released ¿La Raíz Eléctrica¿, his second music album... The quintessence of his experience in the Antilles¿
