M17 group pays homage to Murillo in Seville
It is almost the year of Murillo and the M17 group, made up of eleven Andalusian artists, pays homage to the Sevillian painter. The project offers impressions and recreations different from the norm. It can be seen until this Sunday at the Círculo Mercantil de Sevilla.

According to the curator of the exhibition, Esther Ortego, the different styles of the group of Andalusian artists come together in this project, using contemporary language to pay tribute to one of the best Sevillian painters of all time. The pieces include bubbles that allude to the transience of life, watches that symbolise time, faces of the dogs that appear in the work of Murillo and that are now drawn on paint palettes. The M17 group exhibit controversial works, with baroque, graffiti, classic, and contemporary touches.
