The first Canarian winner of The National Comics Award
The Canarian writer, Rayco Pulido, has won the award granted by the Ministry of Culture for his work "Lamia".

"Lamia" is a dark crônica set in 1940s Barcelona that tells the story of a pregnant 34 year-old woman working in post-war radio, an allusion to the historic `Elena Francis¿ Practice¿ from Radio Barcelona. The judges emphasized "its innovative formal and aesthetic capacity", to tell a part of our past. "Lamia" is the third solo work from Rayco Pulido.
