The Canary Islands breaks all tourism records
Over nine million people visited the islands in the first eight months of 2017, 8% more with respect to last year.

The tourism sector achieves record figures. Gran Canaria alone has seen 4.6 million visitors in the first eight months. Almost all in search of sun and the beach. Nevertheless, tourists are also interested in gastronomy, culture, nature and the stars. The challenge, experts say, is to diversify and decentralise.
