The pool of La Aldea fills with people once again
For another year, the pool in La Aldea in San Nicolas, Gran Canaria, has proved too small again...Thousands of people jumped in to celebrate one of the most popular and traditional holidays of the Canary Islands.

This year, more than 10,000 people took part in one of the most popular celebrations of the island known as the "Pond Party", in the village of La Aldea de San Nicolás. In keeping with the tradition which dates back to the time of the first settlers in the Canary Islands, participants jumped in to try and catch the biggest mullet.
