"A Column of Fire", Ken Follet's latest book, arrived in bookshops today. The author, who has sold more than 160 million books around the world, now continues the saga of "The Pillars of the Earth" and "World Without End". Most of the plot takes place in the imaginary town of Kingsbridge, but Seville is also one of the sites in which part of the action takes place.

It is the end of a trilogy that began with "The Pillars of the Earth", that told of the construction of a Cathedral in the 12th century. ¿A Column of Fire¿ takes place mainly in the same imaginary town as the first book, but also in Spain.
It immerses us in the 16th century. The plague has hit Europe, which is bleeding to death due to the struggles of religion. It is a plot of spies, corruption, mercenaries, religious people and fanatics capable of anything to obtain what they believe in or what they covet.
