Cádiz-born Javier León nominated for an Emmy this year
The upcoming gala of the most important television awards, the Emmys, to be held on the 17th in Los Angeles, will be attended by a nominee from Cádiz. Regarded as one of the 200 best digital artists in the world, all his work is created at his studio in the centre of San Fernando.
He still can't quite believe it, but his name is already on the list of Emmy nominees for the credits for The Crown, a NetFLIX series about the British royal family. Javier León is from San Fernando, Cádiz, and director of León Studios. He's not only one of the biggest names in special effects in Spain, his 3D work is also internationally renowned.
In his study he has create special effects for films such as "Agora" or "Camino", and also animated shorts such as "Lily and the Snowman". His design work for jewellery companies has allowed him to develop these 3D insect creations that inspired him for the Emmy-nominated credits. Javier is already preparing his tux for the gala on 17 September with the hope that this virtual sensation can become a reality.
