Italica restores its important Roman mosaic heritage
The ruins of Italica at Santiponce, Seville, make up one of the most important series of Roman mosaics on the Iberian peninsula... A recovery program, set up by the Department of Culture, is allowing the consolidation and "rediscovery" of some of the most emblematic mosaics on a site that receives 150,000 visitors every year. It is the case for the mosaic floor in the House of the Planetarium, on which restoration works have just completed. Works for this "maintenance work" lasted eight months.
