Thinking about Valladolid
With the absences of Juan Villar, who¿s injured, and of Jorge Sáenz and Bryan Acosta, invited to join the Spanish under-21 selection and to play for Honduras, respectively, Tenerife has already started preparing for Sunday's game with Valladolid.
Juan Villar has suffered a "micro-tear in the biceps muscle of the right thigh"; according to the medical report "after the appropriate tests, the referenced diagnosis was confirmed". It is foreseen that he will need three to four weeks of downtime before being able to play again.
Víctor Casadesús has muscular problems. He is being incorporated into the club progressively, and he's awaiting further developments.
However, there are alternative options for offense. Longo, who still doesn¿t know if he can play for 90 minutes, has the option of starting on Sunday in Valladolid. Malbasic¿s paperwork is "ok", so he might also debut. And Brian Martín, who might form part of the line-up on the first day, could repeat.
On the other hand, a Primera División club is interested in Jorge Sáenz. His early termination would cost 3.5 million euros. The defender is focused on the Spanish under-21 selection, which will play a friendly game against Italy on Friday, and a qualifying game for the 2019 U21 EURO against Estonia. His absence from the games against Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano, opens the door for Aveldaño or Alberto to move in.
