The Israeli point guard Gal Mekel, aged 29, 191 centimetres tall, and previously with the Israeli team Maccabi Tel-Aviv, is the latest recruit to join Herbalife Gran Canaria for the 2017-18 season. He is the fifth signing so far, joining DJ Seeley, McKissic, Eriksson, Balvin and Fischer as bids to strengthen the team for the upcoming season.
