INFOCA¿s management declared last Saturday that the forest fire in the Moguer region of Southern Spain is under control, though it has already affected a wide area of forest in Donana National Park, including part of the Natural Park.

The fire is "technically and truthfully under control", but given the complexity of the start of the fire and the sensitivity of the area that was affected, it was decided to keep the fire technically ¿active¿ in order to be able to dedicate all the means necessary to contain the fire throughout the night.

All this work, along with the good weather conditions, resulted in "a practically inactive fire¿ by this morning.

The Board of Andalusia deactivated the level 1 forest emergency response plan in Andalusia on the provincial level, and they have authorised the return of the 230 people who were evacuated back to their homes.
