Air Europa to offer more than 1.5 million seats for passengers

The company, who confirmed its introduction in the Canary Islands in a statement last Friday, has met with the regional president. Air Europa briefed Fernando Clavijo on the data regarding having another airline in the islands to compete with the flagship carrier, therefore bringing an end to the monopoly and offering greater flight frequency and more competitive prices

Air Europa will carry out its introduction into the Canary islands in three phases. On 30 October, it will start to operate between Tenerife and Gran Canaria, then adding routes up to 2018. By that date, they will have added 1,600,000 seats for passengers. They will start with six aeroplanes. In addition, the arrival of Air Europa will create 400 direct jobs.
