Last Thursday, the Partido Popular took their chance and made an offer to join the Canarian government, which is currently in the minority. This is what the regional executive has decided in the hopes of bringing stability to the Canary Islands. That is if the Partido Popular has set a date for negotiations. And the Partido Popular has made it clear that there are alternatives beyond joining the government or supporting it from the outside. The nationalists affirm that, for the moment, there have only been telephone calls, that they are not going set deadlines and that they were upset at how PP broadcasted this potential rapprochement in the media, which even mentioned dividing departments.
