The first of eight days of strike convened by the dock workers¿ unions passes without any major incidents, with fulfilment of minimum services -save a few exceptions- and near total support among workers in the sector.

The stowage sector is operating as usual in Canarian ports on the first day of strike called by the National Dock Workers¿ Council. Only in the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, given their distance from the Peninsula, have minimum services of 100% been established with regard to the loading and unloading of imports and exports.
