"30 years of Búho&Marvels": The art of puppets
As part of the International Puppet Fair of Seville, this exhibition held at the Espacio Santa Clara brings together one hundred puppets, created over the past three decades by the two emblematic Sevillian puppet companies
They include a whole range of different characters... made with different materials, techniques and styles... And they have given shows all over the world... Here we see them inert, but watch out, everything changes as soon as their ¿puppeteers" arrive...
The exhibition "30 years of Búho&Maravillas" takes a run through the long creative history of these two emblematic Sevillian puppet companies, which joined forces in 2007... 25 shows, more than three thousand representations and this enormous craft legacy... Ranging from the characters of ¿The musicians of Brenes", the flamenco version of the classic by the Grimm Brothers, to the flamenco version of ¿The wizard of Oz", including the unique, speechless Yerma or even a Little Red Riding Hood who married the wolf...
More than one hundred unique pieces, going to show that puppets are art.
