The Pompidou Museum of Málaga features an exhibition on Philippe Starck

El Museo Pompidou de Málaga expone una muestra de Philippe Stark.
Carmen Ávalos / Mario Gallego

Four thousand sketches cover the walls of a room where some of the Parisian¿s most emblematic pieces are on display, revealing the heart of his creative process to the viewer. From a pair of flip-flops to one external hard drive. It might be said that Starck¿s works are all over the place.

Everyday, useful and functional objects as well as ecological things, such as his electric-powered vehicle, or even the recycled materials that he uses. Transgressive in their shapes, like a stool, Lou Reed¿s armchair or his famous squeezer. Intelligent and technological, like these Bluetooth headphones from 2010.

Such is the sensory dimension of the objects present in each and every one of his creations. A tap allows the viewer to visualise the movements of water. With a pencil, paper and tracing, the Parisian creator has been revolutionising the world of design since the eighties.
